  • QR Content: Text, URLs, or data used to generate QR codes.
  • User Preferences: Your customization settings (colors, logos, styles).
  • History: A local record of your generated and scanned codes.

This information is stored using your browser's local storage APIs and never leaves your device unless you choose to sync it.

2.2 Google Drive Integration (Optional)

If you choose to enable Google Drive sync:

  • We use OAuth2 to authenticate with your Google account.
  • Access is limited to the drive.file scope, meaning we can only see and manage files created by PixelQR.
  • We do not have access to your other Google Drive files or personal emails.

3. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security practices to ensure your data remains safe. Since all processing is local, the security of your data is primarily protected by your browser's own security sandbox.

4. Third-Party Services

PixelQR does not include third-party tracking scripts or analytics. Our interaction with third parties is limited to:

  • Google APIs: Only if you enable the optional Cloud Sync feature.
  • Browser Stores: Standard telemetry provided by the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons site.

5. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can:

  • Clear your history and settings within the extension.
  • Revoke Google Drive access at any time.
  • Uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data instantly.
